NOTES

  1. page 344
Actinodium calocephalum ms is the new name proposed for the Actinodium found around the Albany district (not A.cunninghamii). Hence the common name 'Albany Daisy' should refer to A. calocephalum.

  2. page 356
Chamelaucium repens ms carries the common name 'Creeping Darwinia'. This is not strictly an error. Darwinia repens is an Alex George taxon that Marchant and Keighery are moving to Chamelaucium (as C.repens ms). A number of Darwinias are to be or have been moved over to related myrtaceous genera such as Chamelaucium or Verticordia. This entry in the book is one of a few examples we came across where species had moved genus but the common name referred to the traditional classification. We dealt with them in different ways, often removing them altogether.

In the Synonym Index we took a decision to remove the manuscript and phrase name references in order to reduce space; hence there is no easy way to find out the relationship mentioned here without consulting FloraBase.
